US Open 2010
With the Australian Open starting on Monday, I'll post pictures from one of the other major tennis tournaments I went to a couple years ago, the US Open. I made a video from when I was there and was going to post it but YouTube blocked it for the background music that I have with it. So, your stuck with the still frames, at least for now. Enjoy!

Seattle 2010 - Part 2
So, yesterdays post was all about the house we stayed in. Todays pictures are from the places we went when we left the house. It includes a cafe we visited on our way out of town called Kelly's (which had the most amazing chocolate chip pancakes), a restaurant in downtown Seattle called The Pink Lady (which deserves a post of its own if I ever make it back to Seattle), the original Starbucks and a trip to the Space Needle and EMP Museum.

Seattle 2010 - Part 1
Last year I left the day after Christmas with my friend Ashley to fly to Seattle and spend the week with my 2nd family, the Mignognas (Danielle, Lauren, and Zach). They rented out a house for two weeks on Fox Island located near Gig Harbor. The house is right on the water overlooking Puget Sound. The views were amazing! People say that it always rains in Seattle, but we had amazing weather the whole time. We would wake up in the morning to 40 degree weather and it would warm up to the mid 50s by the afternoon. One of the best parts was when Danielle would make us all delicious meals (pictures below), always from scratch! The house offered tons of amenities from a basketball/tennis court, to a golf mat so you could hit balls into the water. Also, the fully stocked library provided some 'interesting' reads. They also had kayaks, which we took out one day. I'm going to split this post into 2 parts. Today I'll post the pics from the house and tomorrow I'll add the ones from downtown Seattle/Space Needle.

Instagram Monday
I'm going to start a new trend on my blog and feature a new Instagram artist every Monday. I'm calling it... Instagram Monday! I know, flashy. Pay me the big bucks and I'll come up with something more appealing. So basically every Monday I'm going to suggest an Instagram user for you to follow and I will show 5 or so of their pictures. I just started using it a few months ago and I love it. It seriously is like having about 10 different cameras, all in your phone.
For those of you that don't know, Instagram is an app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, which allows you to add a filter to any photo, pre or post capture. It's really great! Also, its Facebook and Twitter integration makes it extremely easy to post your photos for your friends to see. Oh yeah, it's free too!
For my first feature artist I am going with Marianne Hope (mariannehope)
Bio: Norwegian, living in Holland and lovin' it!
